KCKFD Fireworks Report: Not Everyone Is Smart

Not everything went smoothly on Independence Day on July 4. There were some injuries related to fireworks. From the Unified Government news resource.

The KCK Fire Department responded to 19 fireworks-related incidents from June 26 through the July 4 holiday weekend. Two people received injuries which required trips to the hospital.

One person was burned and the other suffered broken leg a large firework on the exploded on the ground. Fire Department officials say fireworks caused five structure fires, a motorcycle and other items totaling $27,000 in damages.

Of course, this will probably give more ammunition to those who want to ban fireworks.
